Default Menu doesn't show up

I know, I'm not the first one, but all other Threads with the same problem, didn't help me.

My menu doesn's show up huere:

http://www.zsc-lions.ch/menutest.htm

I have uploaded all files to /popup directory in the root directory of my server.

That's how I entered the directory in the menu: /popup/

and this is the HTML-Code I receive:

<!-- Pop-Up Menu Code Start -->
<script language="JavaScript1.2" src="/popup/lp5.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<!-- Pop-Up Menu Code End -->

But where the hell is my menu? ;o)

Thank you for your help

Here it works (it's the menu, that should appear on the other side, see above).

Another question: What can I do to make the menu less high?

Thaaaaaaaaaaaaank you!

Hi,

Either the bp5.js file was incorrectly created by popup in the first case, or your FTP client uploaded the file incorrectly on your server because it is corrupted and that's why it doesn't show up.

Sorry, one more question.

You can see on the menu here (http://www.fam-stauffer.ch/hochzeit2.htm), that the menu bar is at least 30 px high, even if I have entered only 20 px in the menu dimensions and have set all paddings to 0.

What can I do, to get a menu with a high of 20 px to fit here (replace the old one):

http://www.zsc-lions.ch

Thank you

Hi,

About the first question, regarding the menu height:

The color style you are using is using background images.
Those images have a specific height, so the menu can't be smaller than the height of these images.

You could duplicate the color style and edit the background images with a photo editing software to reduce their height and make the menu smaller.

In case you wish to do this, once you duplicate the color style, open Windows Explorer and navigate to C:\Documents and Settings\USER\Application Data\Pop-Up Menu Creator\Styles

and open the folder named after the style you gave.
The folder will have 3 images, named back.gif, backhl.gif and right.gif.
Those are the ones you need to edit and change their height to reduce the color style height.

Please note that USER should be replaced with your Windows User Name (on my PC it is Lefteris).
Also note that to see the above folder you will have to tweak Windows Explorer, by going to Tools-->Folder Options-->Show Hidden Files and Folders.

Once you edit the images with your Photo editing software, open the menu creator, go to the style editor, select the color style of yours and then click on the Item Background Images and change the left item image (normal state) with the new right.gif, change the main background images for the normal and disabled state with back.gif and for the other states with the backhl.gif and finally change the right background image (normal state) with the new right.gif.
Save the style and use that style for your menu and you should have reduced the menu height.

You can also tweak the Item Padding styles, speciffic the Text Padding and modify the top and bottom padding values to achieve what you wish!

The menu seems to be working now on your webpage, although the item arrows and the text seem to be incorrect.
These can be happening if you are applying styles to HTML elements, like Tables, Table Cells or Table rows, instead of using classes.

Thanks for the answer with the background image. This will be solvable.

But the menu doesn't work on my page here:

http://www.zsc-lions.ch/menutest.htm

I don't see a menu somewhere on this page. Do you with your browser???

I'm going crazy!

I made another test here: http://www.zsc-lions.ch/lionkids.htm

With new settings, and nothing works.
Exaxtly the same menu and the same js-Files are uploaded here: http://www.fam-stauffer.ch/lionkids.htm and this works.

Help! ;o)

And: How can I create the mouseover effect like I had it in the old menu?

I'm seeing the menu and here is a screenshot of what I'm seeing:

Regarding the item effects, these can now individually configured for each item.
Just go to View-->Show Advanced Options and check the Advanced Options.
Now select the item that you wish to add an effect and click on the "Advanced Options" from the Options Groups and then click on the Item Effect "Adjust" button.

To quickly apply the same effect to other menu items, other select the items from the tree view (by holding down the CTRL key) and then change the item effect, or after changing the item effect of one item, click on the Quick Settings Copy button and copy the advanced options from the modified item to the items you wish to apply the same effect.
