SPFX file won't open

A spfx file last opened in Oct. 2008 now gives this error message when I try to open it: "This is not a valid pop-up menu project file. Pop-up menu project files have an spfx file extension!"

But it is an spfx file (see attached) & was used to create the menu here:

I'm now using version 5 (build 414). What's going on? I really want to revise this menu , not have to begin from scratch. Many thanks.

Thanks Lefteris. I just did the "update " and was told I had the latest version. So any ideas why the file will not open for me?

Hello Pat,

Are you now on build 459, or still on your 414 build?
Are you trying to open the file by double clicking on the file from Windows Explorer, or by using the File-->Open menu from the program?

Thanks so much, Lefteris. When I double clicked the file it gave the error message. But just tried to open it from File menu and it opened.

Sorry, should have tried this myself. Weird that the double click won't work, though. Is this normal?

For reference, the version is build 414 and when I do the update it says I have the latest one. Should I be able to get a later build?

Hello Pat,

You can simply download the latest version from the website and install it.
Normally the program should notify you about the update but for some reason it's not working.
